Stairrods UK Polished Nickel Victorian Stair Clip (Pair)

During the Victorian era, stair clips were a popular and fashionable finishing detail, adding character and elegance to staircases that featured a stair runner carpet. As modern carpet fitting methods became more widespread, these traditional accessories gradually disappeared from use.

Unlike stair rods, stair clips do not extend across the full width of the stair runner. Instead, they are fitted at either side of the runner and extend only a few inches onto the stair tread. The clips are securely bolted to the stair treads at each edge of the runner, helping to hold it neatly in position while also providing an attractive decorative finishing touch. Their compact design makes them a stylish alternative to traditional stair rods, particularly in period and heritage-style interiors.

Stair Rods UK have brought this beautiful Victorian feature back to life. Crafted from solid brass in a polished nickel finish and made using traditional manufacturing techniques, these stair clips combine authentic period styling with quality craftsmanship.
